A meeting was held between the Accountants and Auditors Syndicate with the Korean Consulate Taking advantage of the progress made by South Korea in terms of accounting and finance, as well as the high level of the economy, it was a fruitful discussion between our union delegation and the Korean consulate. On 16/7/2025, a delegation from our Syndicate visited the Consulate General of South Korea in Erbil, the capital, and was received by the Consul General, and the topic of building relations in favor of developing the capacities of accountants and auditors, as well as developing and benefiting from the developed economic and commercial system in the country, was the main focus of this meeting. A number of points, items, and topics were discussed and ideas were exchanged. The LACPA delegation stated that its efforts are continuing to develop mature and experienced accountants in this field and related disciplines. In this context, they discussed how to hold courses, seminars and workshops within the region and in the State of Korea in order to transfer new processes, ideas and systems in the field of accounting and finance to the members of the Association. The Consul General and the Consulate staff expressed their happiness with this meeting and expressed their readiness to cooperate in a way that benefits the development of the capacities of accountants, and expressed their happiness that the Syndicate manages its affairs with the public and private sectors with such efficiency and effectiveness. At the end of the meeting, after a very good level of understanding, it was decided that the two sides would start a bilateral service program under the guidelines and in the near future to work together for the benefit of our ITU members in a number of aspects and in accordance with the points discussed.
